Happy Labor Day!

Summer may be on its way out, but don't put the shorts and sunscreen away just yet! From wine tastings to bike rides, the DMV is continuing the summer fun as we go into September (hello, fall!)

No Scrubs: '90's Dance Party | 9:30 Club | Friday

Put on your Nikes and a scrunchie in your hair—The '90s may be in the past, but DJs Will Eastman & Ozker are keeping the dream alive! The 3rd Annual CM. Ball | The Bambou Complex | 229 North Franklintown Road, Baltimore | Saturday

Beginning two years ago as a way of promoting diversity, the CM. Ball is a celebration of Baltimore itself. Enjoy an eclectic mish-mash of local food, artisan vendors, and all-day music with performances by Ducky Dynamo and Twin Jude. General admission is $20. Check it out here!

Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! | Wolf Trap | Thursday-Friday

NPR's hilarious trivia program is stepping out from the radio and onto the stage! Watch hosts Peter Sagal and Bill Kurtis quiz contestants on a variety of subjects, from news to pop culture. Panelists for Friday's show are Tom Bodett, Roxanne Roberts, and Maz Jobrani. Tickets start at $45. Buy them here!

Labor Day Meritage Vertical Tasting | Fox Meadow Winery | 3310 Freezeland Road, Linden, VA | Saturday–Sunday

Kick back over the long weekend with this sophisticated tasting event! Learn about the idiosyncrasies of wine as you sample selections in chronological order, beginning with 2012 and ending with 2017. Admission is $20-$25. Make your reservation here!

Firework Friday: Washington Nationals vs. Miami Marlins | Nationals Park | Friday

Swing through Nationals Park for a home game between the Washington Nationals and the Miami Marlins. Watch the sparks fly with a finale of fireworks! Annual Labor Day White Marlin Tournament | 9659 Golf Course Road, Ocean City | Thursday–Sunday

The Ocean City Marlin Club is back with another tournament! Fishing enthusiasts will have two days to reel in their catches, followed by weigh-ins at Sunset Marina and an awards banquet. Registration takes place Thursday. No membership necessary! You can find out more here!

Western Maryland Craft Beverage Festival | Hoffman Park | 11200 Hoffman Hollow Road, Frostburg | Sunday

Savor the best beer, wine, and spirits the Old Line State has to offer! Visitors can enjoy 10 complimentary samples while browsing food and craft vendors. If the samples aren't enough, full-sized pours are available for purchase. Find out more here!

Baltimore Comedy Festival | 120 West North Avenue, Baltimore | Multi-day

Baltimore Bike Party—Go with Mixolo | St. Mary's Park | 601 North Paca Street, Baltimore | Friday

Get outside with a scenic bike ride through Baltimore! Every last Friday of the month, meet up at St. Mary's Park for a low-key ride through the city. It's a great way to socialize with friends and make new ones! The ride starts at 7 p.m. All cyclists are welcome! You can register here!

National Book Festival | Walter E. Washington Convention Center | Saturday

Undoubtedly the biggest celebration of books in the country, the National Book Festival is back in the capital! All day, book-lovers can see their favorite authors talk in panels about their work.
