Holiday Lights at the Beach  

Virginia Beach Oceanfront | November 22–December 31

Hosted by Bayport Credit Union, the "Holiday Lights at the Beach" show is the most anticipated Christmas attraction in all of Hampton Roads. Drive along a mile of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront to see the colorful and attractive lights display. Admission is $10 per car. Check it out here!

Olde Towne Holiday Market and Tree Lighting 

Children's Museum of Virginia | Portsmouth | Friday

The Olde Towne Holiday Market and Tree Lighting events are filled to the brim with holiday-themed activities. Here you will see the local businesses decked out in whimsical decorations, listen to the chorale concerts, drink hot drinks, eat delicious food options, witness the lighting of the Christmas Tree, and much more. The event is free and open to the public. Gardenfest of Lights Illumination Weekend 

1800 Lakeside Avenue | Ongoing

This year's theme is "Magic in the Air" with over one million lights on display, family-friendly interactive activities, model trains, s'mores over a warm fire, and more. Admission is $5-$13 each. Read more about it here!

Horsehead and Ward Harrison

The Camel | Saturday

Head on down to the Camel this Saturday to see a double feature performance with Horsehead and Ward Harrison. Tickets are only $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Learn more here!

IL Postino (The Postman)

Dominion Energy Center | Friday and Sunday

See the story of Pablo Nerudo, an exiled poet, who fights to earn the love of the woman he is longing for. Based on the 1994 film, this play brings the work to life on the Dominion Energy Center stage. Tickets are $25-$125 each. Learn more about it here!

The Mystery of Edwin Drood

Swift Creek Mill Theatre | Friday and Saturday

Solve a whodunit mystery play based on Charles Dickens' unfinished novel. Guests will solve a series of clues, ultimately leading to the identity of the murderer. Tickets are $42 each with an additional $19.95 for the buffet. Check out the mystery party here!

Winterfest 

Kings Dominion | Ongoing

Kings Dominion is transformed into a winter wonderland for the holiday season along with festive lights, performers, live shows, and delicious food options. Brewsgiving 

Brass Cannon | Saturday

The annual Brass Cannon charitable event raises money for the Peninsula Food Bank. This year, Pierce's BBQ will be serving up some delicious grub in exchange for a donation of five perishable food items. Richie Beard put on a live performance for your entertainment.
