This weekend, take a stroll through Georgetown's GLOW exhibitions, indulge in delicious chocolate, or do some shopping at holiday markets. Add in a concert from Bob Dylan for an amazing start to the holiday season!

Georgetown GLOW

Feeling bah-humbug? Illuminate your spirit with Georgetown's GLOW! Starting December 6, explore Georgetown through the lens of 11 light installations along with walking tours, festive events, and more. GLOW runs through January 5, 2020, and admission is free. Check out the artist lineup here!

Scottish Christmas Walk Parade

Celebrate the rich culture of Scotland with this rousing parade! Starting at St. Asaph and Wolfe Streets, watch a procession filled with drums, dancing, and bagpipes all the way to Market Square where a final concert will take place. Admission is free. Find out more here!

West Annapolis Winterfest and Holiday Market

Transport yourself to the streets of Europe with Annapolis's own holiday market. Explore handcrafted goods from over 30 local vendors and enjoy hot chocolate, wine, and beer. The District's Holiday Boat Parade

Greater Manassas Christmas Parade

Now on its 74th year, this Christmas parade is one of the largest in all of Northern Virginia! Witness a procession of 100+ floats featuring balloons and live music, and provide a toy for a child this season with local charity Un-Trim-A-Tree! Admission is free. Find out more here!

Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade of Lights

Old Town Alexandria Waterfront | Alexandria, VA | Saturday

From 2 to 8 p.m., enjoy delicious food and entertainment on the waterfront before a procession of boats light up the Potomac River. With beer garden pop-ups, craft demos, and Santa, there's a little something for everyone! The parade is free and open to the public. Check it out here!

Krampusnacht D.C.

Inspired by the European Krampus legend, come create hijinks at the D.C. area's beloved fundraiser! From 5 to 11 p.m., experience a charity walk, costume contests, and an after-party at Gallery O on H. Proceeds go towards helping D.C. youth for the National Center for Children and Families. SantaCon Crawl
