Finals Week is over, and now it's time for some much-needed rest and relaxation far away from the classroom.

Now that the crushing weight of exams has been lifted from your shoulders and you can safely crawl out from underneath the trenches of books, post-its, and long-unwashed bedding, you can safely go on a trip to reset your overall wellbeing. Since Colorado is home to a variety of getaways—especially in winter—you have quite a bit of post-finals adventures to choose from to make you shake off any lingering exam anxiety. Check out these great Colorado winter destinations and get ready to hit the road!

1. Strawberry Park Natural Hotsprings, Steamboat Springs

Soak away your cares in a deliciously-warm hot spring and enjoy delightful conversations that don't involve math equations, balance sheets, or beta coefficients with fellow travelers.

2. Ameristar Casino Resort Spa, Blackhawk

Treat yourself to a few nights in one of Colorado's most luxurious hotels, where you can relax on the rooftop pool, unwind at the spa, indulge in some top-tier room service, or try your luck at winning some extra cash to spend on holiday gifts.

3. Breckenridge

Nothing kicks the winter blues away faster than spending a day gliding down a snow-covered mountain. If skiing or snowboarding isn't your thing, wandering around the town of Breckinridge and supporting the local shops is a great alternative, or screaming out any frustrations while you ride the Gold Runner Alpine Coaster.

4. Bear Lake Trail, Rocky Mountain National Park

Snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park is always an excellent choice if you crave mountain views, wildlife watching, and very little crowds. Pro tip: If you happen to work up an appetite from all that snow trekking, visit the Wild Rose Restaurant on Elkhorn Avenue in Estes Park for a delicious elk burger.
