Jeremy Cluff writes: "Arizona State was just 4-16 in Big 12 play this season, while Kansas State was 9-11. The Wildcats are 15-16 overall. The Sun Devils are 13-18. These teams split two games in the regular season, with each team winning on the road. ASU, however, has lost four straight since beating KSU on Feb. 23 and is very shorthanded."
Big 12 tournament predictions by round: Will BYU, Iowa State or Texas Tech upset Houston? Winners and Whiners : Bet Kansas State to beat Arizona State
Mark Ruelle writes: "If the Arizona State Sun Devils somehow regroup and pick up at least one win in the Big 12 Tournament, Bobby Hurley should be reconsidered as possible Big 12 Coach of the Year. The Sun Devils have split the season series with K State but will likely be without their most indispensable player, Quaintance, once again. His loss has impacted this team most importantly on the defensive end. That was on full display in their season finale on Saturday night against Texas Tech. A relatively close game got out of hand in the second half as the Red Raiders scored at will against the Sun Devils' mediocre defense. The Sun Devils are 15th in the conference in points allowed per game this season. They are 13th in field goal defense and 14th in scoring margin. Kansas State should have a significant home court advantage with the game played in Kansas City and they've played much better in less hostile environments this season. The Wildcats finished the season 6-4 ATS while the Sun Devils closed out the season at 3-7 ATS. The Sun Devils will go quietly into that good night on Tuesday."

Cody Nagel writes: "It has been a disappointing season for both Arizona State and Kansas State — which finished lower than their respective positioning in the Big 12 preseason poll. The only win for the Sun Devils in the final five weeks of the schedule came in Manhattan during the Wildcats' four-game skid at the time."
