The Kansas City Chiefs , still stinging from their blowout loss in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles , are looking to make some moves this offseason to get back to the big game.

One of the big questions entering the offseason was about the future of star tight end Travis Kelce . That question has been answered.

Kelce will return for his 13th season in 2025 and he spoke out and revealed the biggest reason for continuing to play.

"I think the biggest thing is that I f------ love playing the game of football," he said. "I love playing. I still feel like I can play it at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year. I don't think it was my best outing. I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I've been in years past. I want to give it a good run. I got a bad taste in my mouth in how I ended last year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was to the people around me."

On Tuesday night, the Chiefs went out and brought in some important depth behind Kelce at the tight end position.

According to a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero , Kansas City has agreed to a deal with veteran tight end Robert Tonyan.

Tonyan has played in the NFL since the 2018 season. He has played with the Green Bay Packers for five of those years and was with the Chicago Bears in 2023.

Last season, Tonyan did not end up playing during the regular season.

Throughout his career, Tonyan has seen the field in 85 games. His best season came alongside Aaron Rodgers in 2020 when he caught 52 passes for 586 yards and 11 touchdowns.
