HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — The Children's Home Society of West Virginia held a carnival in Huntington on Friday, celebrating the the organization's Founders' Day. The annual carnival had activities and games for the children and gave families an opportunity to connect with local organizations and resources. "We like in our family support center to create different events that will encourage families to get out and spend time together and have fun with their kids," regional director Diana Lucas said. The organization provides services in areas like child welfare, behavioral health, and social casework. This year marks 129 years of operation in serving children and families across the state.
