ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - The City of Alexandria said a shooting took place in the 200 block of Mary Street on Saturday, March 8.

Officers responded to the scene at around 6 p.m. that evening.

One person was reportedly injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials said an investigation is ongoing.
