Eldora Mountain is hitting the market! Powdr, Eldora's parent company, announced the sale of the ski area on Thursday.

Eldora Mountain is located southwest of Nederland in Boulder County. It has been open since 1962, and Powdr has owned it since 2016.

Powdr has made a deal to sell Killington and Pico ski areas in Vermont to local investors. SilverStar Mountain Resort in British Columbia, Mt. Bachelor in Oregon, and Eldora are all for sale.

Powdr's arrangements with Alterra Mountain Co. providing Ikon Pass access to Eldora will not change for the 2024-2025 ski season.

Edlora will open for the ski season on November 15 and "will continue to conduct business as usual."

Stacey Hutchinson, Powdr's vice president of communications, said the sale is a way "to strategically manage Powdr’s portfolio in alignment with our founder’s and stakeholders’ goals."

More details are expected to be released as the sales process unfolds.
