Get ready, Denver. It's about to get hot.

The Denver metro area and Boulder are under a Heat Advisory until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, with temperatures expected to reach 100 degrees in the eastern plains. A heat Advisory is also in effect for portions of south-central and southeast Colorado until 7 p.m. tonight.

We anticipate cooler weather into the weekend, Friday and Saturday, before more 90-degree days on Sunday and Monday.
