Makers Madness is back for another year of showing off the coolest things made around the state. The bracket-style tournament has the public decide which product will earn the title "The Coolest Thing Made in Illinois." Last year’s winner was the Komatsu mining truck, a rugged, large capacity vehicle used for construction and mining made by Komatsu in Peoria.
How does Makers Madness work?
More than 250 unique products from every corner of the state were nominated for this year’s contest, with candidates ranging from agriculture and energy storage equipment to life-saving medical products, iconic pantry staples, sweet treats, and a variety of vehicles.
