Starting in December, just in time for the ski and snowboarding season, you will be able to fly from Denver International Airport (DIA) to a Colorado mountain town!

On Tuesday, Frontier Airlines announced they'd offer non-stop service from DIA to Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) and Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) near Vail. So, if you'd rather not get stuck in the winter traffic along I-70 to head up to the mountains this winter, you can hop on a plane instead!

Service to Eagle County will operate twice a week beginning on December 19.

"We're excited to welcome Frontier Airlines to Eagle County Regional Airport. We're committed to offering our passengers a variety of travel options, and the addition of Frontier Airlines is a testament to that commitment,” said David Reid, Director of Aviation, at EGE. “Frontier will provide our community with more choices and competitive fares, making it easier to travel. The addition of Frontier Airlines to EGE is a significant win for our community."

Flights from Denver to Eagle County will start at $99. However, this introductory fare price will only be available through October 7.

"Fares are valid for non-stop travel on select days of week," says the press release. "Fares are valid for travel Dec. 12, 2024, through Feb. 28, 2025. The following blackout dates apply: Dec. 21-31, 2024; Jan. 1-7, 2025; Feb. 13-14, 16-17, 2025. Round trip purchase is not required."
