The Kansas City Chiefs are moving on from a veteran wide receiver who, during his short time with the team, was a catalyst to last season's run to the Super Bowl.

According to FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz, the Baltimore Ravens are signing five-time All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to a 1-year $6M deal, after a brief tenure in Kansas City. Hopkins joins a Ravens team as another high profile target for two-time league MVP Lamar Jackson.

A 12-year veteran, Hopkins gained valuable playoff experience with Kansas City after the midseason trade from the Tennessee Titans , recording a touchdown catch in the Chiefs' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. He finished the season with lower than usual numbers due to his change in role, tallying 41 catches for 437 yards and four touchdowns.

"I knew we were getting a good player to play against him quite a bit, but I didn't know the leadership part," said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid about Hopkins days before Super Bowl LIX. "He's been tremendous that way. He hasn't complained that we're spreading the ball around or utilizing other guys along with him. He's willing to share in that way."

Kansas City will continue to build around a healthy Hollywood Brown, Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy in their wide receivers room with plenty of time to add more in free agency.
