The popular "Baby Shark" kids' song is set to come to television as a new animated show.

Love him or hate him, "Baby Shark" is a big part of your life if you have little kids. And soon, parents and kids will be able to watch a new TV series featuring the internet sensation.

Pinkfong, the creator of Baby Shark, is partnering with Nickelodeon to create an animated series that is set to air all over the world. The companies also plan to expand licensed merchandise offerings of the popular characters.

Baby Shark became an instant hit after launching on YouTube in 2015. The catchy “Do, Do, Do, Do, Do, Do” tune was especially popular with babies and toddlers. The two-minute song has more than 2.9 billion views on YouTube and spent 20 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Baby Shark has been covered more than 700,000 times, including one by a Mariachi band that went viral. The original song features Mommy Shark, Daddy Shark, Grandma Shark, Grandpa Shark, and of course, Baby Shark.

“At the heart of any popular piece of content is a terrific character, and we have a great opportunity to further explore the world of Baby Shark and follow this family through some great animated adventures on Nickelodeon,” said Ramsey Naito, Executive Vice President, Nickelodeon Animation.

Baby Shark joins an array of popular shows at Nickelodeon that include Paw Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, and The Loud House.

Premiere dates for the program have yet to be announced. Viacom’s consumer products division will manage licensing projects for Baby Shark in the U.S. and abroad. Baby Shark plush animals were available for the past holiday season, but demand is growing for everything Baby Shark, especially birthday party accessories.
