While we may still see snow fall and low temperatures, the Old Farmer's Almanac is already looking toward spring season with its annual predictions. The Almanac predicts "warmer than normal" temperatures for most of the country. Exceptions will include southern and central California, the desert southwest, southern Florida and western Ohio Valley, where it will be near to below normal, said the Almanac.
What does the Almanac predict spring will look like in Kansas?
Kansas and the Heartland region can expect a warm spring, especially in the north. However, rainfall will be below normal across the region, with waves of heat and dry conditions likely to continue through the summer. Temperatures are expected to be 3 degrees above average in April. What will temperatures for the first month of spring in Kansas be?
The Heartland region includes Kansas, Iowa, Missouri and eastern Nebraska. Most of the United States will experience more rainfall than usual, the Almanac says.
