Chiefs are re-signing LB Cole Christiansen on a one-year deal, per source. The former West Point @ArmyWP_Football cadet and two-time Super Bowl champion is back for year No. 4 with Kansas City. The Kansas City Chiefs have made an offseason move to retain a consistent member of their defense on both the practice squad and active roster ahead of free agency. According to Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest, the Chiefs are re-signing linebacker Cole Christiansen to a one-year deal. The two-time Super Bowl champion had two tackles in nine games played last season. The 27-year-old linebacker has spent the past three seasons with the Chiefs after starting his career in 2020 with the Los Angeles Chargers. Before playing nine games last year, he had only appeared in one during the 2022 season for Kansas City. He has spent the majority of his NFL career on the practice squad. During extended time in the 2024 preseason Christiansen finished with ten tackles and a sack in three games. The former Army player will have another chance to compete for more playing time in 2025.
