Explore the city's vibrant art community with one-of-a-kind performances, installations, and events all weekend long!
Feeling inspired? Get your creative juices flowing with Baltimore's Artscape!
Held in the hip Station North Arts District and Midtown neighborhood, the 38th annual festival showcases the best of the city's thriving art scene. From comedy and improv to film and music, every artistic medium is represented and accounted for.
Each year the festival has a theme. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, this year's theme is "Discover," and what a fitting concept for Artscape! Come and see otherworldly art installations alongside a variety of mediums on display by artists from around the world. It's also the largest free event of its kind in the country – you never know what you might discover!
Here's a glimpse of what will be going on throughout the weekend:
View the futuristic Sydmonauts installation created by Amigo & Amigo. It features 11 enormous astronaut figures crafted using 3-D art techniques – they're truly larger than life!
Browse the Artist's Market featuring wares from over 100 artists. View hand-crafted goods like clothing, jewelry, paintings, mixed-media, wood-art, metal-art ... the list could go on!
Check out the Pittsburgh collective Squonk Opera's ground-breaking show "Hand to Hand," a wild performance showcasing the world's biggest puppet hands. It will be like nothing you've ever seen!
The Lyric will be hosting live performances featuring dance, choral music, jazz quartets, and more. DJ sets will be spinning all Saturday!
Find unique, one-of-a-kind pieces at The Artist Books, Prints, Multiples & Editions Fair.

Variety is the spice of life, and there's a lot of both with Artscape's food. Dine on everything from crab cakes and brick-oven pizzas to specialty bites like deep-fried watermelon. Wash things down with a glass of rose or refreshing frozen lemonade – drink purchases go towards funding the event, which keeps it free for everyone!
Artscape is accessible by bike, car, MTA, Charm City Circulator, Amtrak, and Lyft. Find out more about transportation here.
Artscape takes place Friday, July 19, to Sunday, July 21, 2019, on Mount Royal Avenue and Charles Street. Click here for more information.
