After a chilly start to the day with morning low temperatures in the 20s and 30s. Afternoon highs will reach the mid 50s to lower 60s with plenty of sunshine.

A storm system will move into the central Plains on Sunday, bringing a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms to Kansas during the afternoon and evening. Severe weather is unlikely with this setup as instability will remain low. Total rainfall amounts will likely remain under one quarter inch for most locations.

A brief break from rain is expected on Monday, but another storm system will move through Kansas on Tuesday, bringing another round of rain. Some light snow will be possible over western Kansas with this system, but a major winter storm is unlikely.

Mild weather will continue for all of next week with highs remaining in the 50s and 60s.

Mon: High: 67 Mostly cloudy, a few showers possible after midnight.

Tue: High: 64 Low: 51 Mostly cloudy and windy; chance of PM showers.

Wed: High: 52 Low: 34 Sunny and windy, diminishing by afternoon.
