A long-standing feud between the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals over the television broadcast on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) has been resolved. According to a press release the two clubs have come to a resolution of all issues related to the MASN dispute. For the 2025 season, the Nationals will continue to broadcast their games exclusively on MASN under a new one-year contract. After that, the team will be free to explore other options for their television rights for the 2026 season and beyond. The dispute dates backs to the formation of MASN when the Washington Nationals moved from Montreal back in 2005. The MASN agreement gave the Orioles 77% control of the network and the Nationals 23%. The split was the main issue between the two parties and caused the decades-long litigation to continue. As part of the settlement, all disputes related to past media rights between the Nationals, Orioles, and MASN have been resolved, and all litigation will be dismissed.
