Testing is optional and is not required for fans entering the ballpark.

The Baltimore Orioles are partnering with the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) to provide free COVID testing to fans at home games. Starting April 23, fans attending games at Camden Yards can get a free PCR test on-site and get information on how to make a vaccination appointment. Currently, capacity is limited to 25% at Camden Yards and fans must sit in “pods” of no more than four people. The park has also implemented digital ticketing and electronic payments for concessions and retail purchases.

The 25% limit on capacity is expected to run through May, but capacity may be expanded later in the summer, depending on rates of coronavirus infections in the city. The Orioles are striving to reach a goal of 100% vaccination for players and office staff. Offering free testing and vaccine information to the public is another way for the team to help eradicate the virus in the community.

“This is just one element in Maryland’s evolving testing strategy, bringing these critical services directly into the community,” said Maryland Department of Health Secretary Dennis R. Schrader. “As summer approaches, we want to support the return to the activities we’ve missed for over a year—like hometown baseball and making testing convenient is essential to being able to do that safely.”

Free tests will be available to ticketed fans inside the park on the lower level concourse at section 26. The testing center will remain open for up to two and a half hours after the first pitch or by the eighth inning. Results will be delivered by text, phone, or email within 24 to 48 hours. The Orioles will also be thanking local health and frontline workers by giving them tickets to games throughout the season.
