Do you have a place in your heart and your home for these two furry friends?

Banksy and Squeakers have been best friends since they were kittens. Coming to the MaxFund Animal Adoption Center when they were little, they live together at the shelter and are bonded for life.

All shelter animals have special stories with how they arrive there, but these two's past really pulls at the heartstrings. In 2014, Squeakers was relinquished as a kitten, and Banksy was found at the side of a highway at about five weeks old. Neither cat has been outside of the shelter, which is a no-kill shelter, since, except for a short foster period.

While many people get excited over kittens, older cats or those with special needs are often overlooked at the shelter. At six years of age, Squeakers and Banksy have lots of love to give, and the right person will surely benefit from bringing them into their home as much as they will benefit from being adopted.

According to the shelter, they both love people and love other cats. They are considered bonded, so they come as a pair. Each will require a little extra care as they both have a spine injury that causes some incontinence issues. There may be some minor accidents to clean up, but the shelter suggests homes with at least one room without carpet where they can sleep, as well as feline diapers, are easy solutions.

"I'd love to find the perfect fur-ever home, where they can accept and love me regardless of my challenges. I'm sure that Squeaker and I sound like a handful, but if you come visit us, you'll see that we're the some of the sweetest cats you'll ever meet! Do you have a room with linoleum or tile floors that could be easily cleaned? If so, Squeakers and I would be happy to go home with you!" says Banksy's profile

If you are interested in giving these feline friends a furever home, check out their profiles on MaxfFund.org. There are also several other cats that are considered "special needs" that need loving homes, so please check out their profiles, as well.
