Warriors Taphouse offers delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, a full bar (very important), and excellent service.

A relatively new restaurant to the area, Warriors Taphouse features a unique dining experience and decor, which pays tribute to our U.S. military. And Warriors proves their dedication to honoring those who serve by offering all military and first responders a 10 percent discount on their checks every day!

If you are not already familiar, Warriors Taphouse obtains all their food from locally sourced farms, such as Pungo-Tuck Local Beef Company, Veg Out Gardens, and more. Plus, they have a scratch-style kitchen so everything is made in-house on that same day!

Our Experience

We were seated near the bar at an admittedly tight table and were greeted right away by Kandace, our waitress for the evening. She served our drinks and food in a timely manner and was humble and professional. We enjoyed looking around the dining area which was riddled with military tributes, from the veterans' photos to the American flag located next to our table.

We started the evening off with some delicious drinks! My boyfriend Christian experimented with a few beers, starting with the Anchor Steam Beer, which tasted a little flat but generally is a pretty standard lager. He then moved onto the Chocolate Chip Cookie Stout which tasted similar (on point to be exact) to a chocolate chip cookie dipped in a fresh cup of coffee ... so refreshing.

I had a Mango Margarita, which was phenomenal. The bartender is a wizard because the drink was not overly sweet and tasted like someone had squeezed fresh mango juice into the mix instead of mango syrup! You can both taste the mango and the tequila, making it the perfect mix.

Next were the appetizers: We chose the Bavarian soft pretzels, which came with a whipped cheese dipping sauce that surprised my taste buds (in a good way) and the crispy taphouse wings, which had the perfect wing-to-sauce ratio! The pretzels were the perfect combination of soft and crunchy (highly recommend)!

For our next course, we chose to taste the Warrior craft burger and the grilled chicken sandwich. The burger was incredibly delicious -- This is the best burger I have had in a long time. Sorry, Five Guys, Warriors Taphouse wins the burger trophy. The meat was thick, juicy, and full of flavor -- just what you want in a delicious burger.

The chicken sandwich was delicious, but Christian said that the chicken was a little tough. The sandwich had lemon thyme chicken, bacon, avocado, sienna kale, and lemon aioli, all on a house country toast. I sadly did not get to taste this dish, but the waitress said that she recommends that everyone try it.

Of course, we had to try their dessert. We chose to go with the chocolate stout cake with bacon dust, and let me tell you, this is not a normal piece of chocolate cake. It is actually quite dry (because it's made with their vanilla stout) but still has a great texture and flavor. It's not a typical decadent sweet chocolate cake, but rather, two dry textured brownies with a ganache as the icing. Overall, it was delicious and totally worth the $7.

Overall, we were very pleased with Warriors Taphouse and recommend that you try it out for yourself. We cannot wait to visit again! If you want to check them out before visiting, head on over to their website!

Overall Rating: 10 out of 5 stars!
