According to King's arrest citation, he admitted to police that he had been drinking prior to the crash. He later told troopers he had "drank too much beer," saying he had roughly 30 beers since 8 p.m. the night before. We have yet to be contacted by our coroner about this incident so at this time, we are respecting the privacy of the family and will refrain from releasing additional details until the family wishes us to do so. We are focused on providing grief counseling and resources in our schools and doing everything we can to support our school community." 31-year-old King was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide under the influence of alcohol, DUI third offense, assault first degree (2 counts), wanton endangerment first degree (3 counts), failure to wear seat belts and reckless driving.
