What to Expect

There are plenty of entertaining activities occurring at the dance and dinner, so prepare yourself for one fun evening. The event will include a sit-down dinner, dance, and live music from the Fredericksburg Big Band. Dance instructors will be giving out swing dance lessons to improve your step, and there will be performances from DanceFXBG.

The riverboat will be decorated USO-style, so locals are encouraged to wear current and vintage military uniforms or authentic vintage, period-style or party dress (think: flower pins in your hair or a fedora and bow tie).

There will be no assigned seating except for reserved guests, and it is encouraged that you arrive early if you would like your choice of seat!

All sales are final, as a portion of ticket sales will go to support veterans and the historical endeavors such as Dahlgren Heritage Museum, Military Officers Association of America, and the American Legion.

The dinner features your choice of:

  • French center cut pork chop seared with maple and horseradish glaze with roasted fingerling potatoes and sautéed spinach.
  • Grilled chicken breast with button mushrooms, fresh rosemary, roasted red bell pepper, roasted garlic, wine sauce, and finished with shaved parmesan. It will be served with saffron-infused rice pilaf and honey-glazed Brussels sprouts.
  • Beef filet with a green peppercorn, brandy, leek, and mushroom sauce, served with garlic herb-roasted potatoes and citrus baby carrots.
  • Blackened salmon filet with a mango chili sauce with a quinoa salad and garlic broccoli.
