Things to Do in Hampton Roads in February

From a free wine tasting to Valentine-themed activities, there are plenty of things to do in Hampton Roads this February.

Looking for some fun things to do? Because Hampton Roads has seven surrounding cities, there will always be an answer to that inevitable question! Here's a list of events for the month of February!

Virginia Beach

Snow Globe Gala: A Family Formal | Kempsville Rec Center | Friday, Feb. 1

Dress up in your finest and get ready for a family night of fun at the Kempsville Rec Center! This event is for ages 3 and up, and admission is only $10 per person! There will be snacks, a photo booth, and of course plenty of dancing! Register by January 28, 2019. Register online here!

Free Wine Tasting | Virginia Beach Winery | Saturday, Feb. 2

You can never go wrong with free wine, am I right? Head on down to the Virginia Beach Winery for a free wine tasting and a much-deserved break! Hint: This is a great girls day activity! For more information about the event, check it out here.

For the Love of Pets Valentine's Day Workshop | Virginia Beach SPCA | Sunday, Feb. 10

Kids will make crafts, play games, cuddle with the animals, and give handmade Valentines to the SPCA's shelter residents. Who knows? You may just find your purr-fect pal! All proceeds go back to helping shelter animals at the VBSPCA -- admission is $20 per person. For more information on this event, check it out here.

Step Afrika | Sandler Center for Performing Arts | Sunday, Feb. 10

Come enjoy the cultural stylings of Step Afrika! Their performances integrate songs, storytelling, humor, and some audience participation. Tickets are between $25 and $65. Check out the event and purchase tickets here.

Valentine's Murder Mystery Cocktail Party | DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel | Saturday, Feb. 9

Murder Mysteries are always fun for someone who enjoys solving clues. Lux Events is holding a Valentine-themed murder mystery cocktail party with a live musical performance, dancing, catered meal, and professional photos on the themed Valentine's Day backdrop. Visit The Chrysler Museum of Art | Ongoing

Make Some Pottery | Color Me Mine Studio | Ongoing

Valentine's Day Dinner | Stripers | Thursday, Feb. 14
