Construction has begun to repave FM Road 369 in Wichita Falls from the Wichita River to Old Iowa Park Road.

The Texas Department of Transportation said the $2.1 million project includes milling up the old pavement, fixing pavement issues in the road base and repaving the road with new asphalt hot mix.

The roadway is reduced to just one lane for both directions. The work zone is controlled withtemporary traffic signals and a pilot car. The traffic signals and pilot car will only be used during work hours.

There are whole sections of the road that have been cut out as well as the threat of oncoming vehicles.

The work is expected to be completed within 3 months, Tx DOT said.
