Vice President JD Vance has quickly found a buyer for his Alexandria, Virginia, home.

Vance listed the Washington, D.C.-area home on Thursday for $1.695 million, and it was pending sale as of Monday.

After being elected to the U.S., Vance bought the house through a limited liability company, paying $1.639 million in February 2023, according to records with PropertyShark.

Built in 1925, the farmhouse-style residence has about 2,500 square feet of living space, with five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one partial bathroom, according to the listing with Robert Crawford and Tyler Jeffrey of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. They weren’t immediately available for comment.

Though the home is 100 years old, its interiors have been modernized. An open family room includes a wood-burning fireplace and custom built-ins, while the primary suite is outfitted with a walk-in closet, an attached office and an updated bathroom.

The property, which is located in the left-leaning neighborhood of Del Ray, has a hardscaped backyard with direct access to a community park as well as a separate accessory unit, which has a kitchenette, a wood-burning fireplace and a full bathroom.

A spokesperson for the vice president didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
