WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Even though the wind is not as strong as was last night, it is a windy morning across Kansas with wind chills in the single digits and teens. Later today underneath sunny skies, winds will relax as temperatures top-out in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

Highs in near 60 degrees on Thursday will slide into the middle 50s on Friday. After a partly cloudy and chilly Saturday in the lower to middle 50s, temperatures will soar into the upper 60s on Sunday.

One storm system passing by to our north on Thursday, and another one moving to our south on Saturday will bring some clouds and gusty winds to the state. However, damaging wind gusts and precipitation are not expected with either event.

Looking ahead… next week appears unseasonably warm with highs in the middle to upper 70s, or twenty to twenty-five degrees above average for early March.
