The Denver Nuggets are looking to hire the next "SuperMascot Rocky," and it could be you!

Billed as one of the most famous mascots in the world, the job description requires certain criteria to be met if you're considering applying for the gig. The open role listed on Nuggets' owners Kroenkee Sports and Entertainment website says they're looking for a "mascot performer." Now, while it does not implicitly say it's for Rocky, some hints towards it make it the most likely option.

I mean, what other mascot job would there be for the Denver Nuggets? All roads lead to Rocky.

The job description says, "As a mascot performer for KSE properties, you will be considered a world-class performer and ambassador for our sport property at all home games and public appearances. You will also actively contribute to the goals of the Game Presentation Department and sports property and support key initiatives in the following areas; Community Relations, Marketing and Events, Youth Development, and Partnerships."

This open mascot position pays between $70,000 to $130,000 annually.

If you land the role of Rocky, your tasks will include some of the following:

  • "Overseeing all aspects of the mascot program, including performances at all home games and various community and internal events.
  • Creating new entertainment and build upon past successes for use at performances, including skits/dances/stunts, pre-recorded videos, in-arena interaction and improvisation, and off-site event entertainment in collaboration with the Director of Game Presentation.
  • Regularly pitch new and innovative ideas for in-game mascot skits in collaboration with the Game Presentation Department.
  • Purchase, clean, and maintain all mascot assets including costumes, outfits, props, vehicle, and other items used by the mascot.
Schedule and oversee rehearsals, workouts, practice sessions, and any other extra-curricular activities pertaining to the mascot program.
  • Assist in updating and regulating the mascot webpage and other social media (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), and respond to fan mail, emails, and other requests."

However, as with any job application, there are some requirements if you want to become the next Rocky mascot, including:

  • BS/BA degree in field or related field
  • At least 3-5 years of mascot experience
  • High physical performance-related skills:
