We may be inching closer to the fall season, but when you live in Colorado, you know that snow is also on the horizon. And according to the Farmers' Alamanc, this winter season is supposed to be cold and wet.

If you're still holding out for the last remaining days of summer, well ... just enjoy it while you can.

While the mountains in Colorado already had the first snowfall of the season in early September, those in the Denver metro and surrounding areas have a little time until the first snowfall is expected to arrive, but not much.

According to the National Weather Service, it's been estimated that we could see snow around mid-October; however, it could be earlier than that. We'll keep you updated as we learn more!

In the meantime, enjoy the warm weather while you can! Because soon, you'll be trading flip-flops for winter boots and shoveling that driveway!
